HENSLEY, ALLEN P.
CUYAHOGA FALLS – Allen Parker Hensley, 58, died in Akron City Hospital Monday [January 28, 1980] after a short illness.
He was born in Atwater, Feb. 27, 1921 and lived in this area most of his life. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Ravenna, the Retired Officers Association of the U.S. Marine Corps, of which he served as captain, was a member of the U.S. Marine Raiders, the Yusef Kahn Grotto of Akron, Fortitude Lodge 188 F.&A.M. and Two Harbors in Minnesota. Mr. Hensley was also a member of the BPOE 76, Ravenna, and president of Hensley Mondi Homes, Inc., of Hudson.
He is survived by wife, Pauline; daughters, Claudia Cole, of Columbus, Martha Hensley, of St. Louis, Mo.; brothers, Russell, of Port Ritchey, Fla., Bruce, of Rootstown and Paul; sisters, Mrs. Jim (Joella) Shanle, of Ravenna, and Mrs. Sam (Hester) Turoff, of St. Petersburg, Fla.
Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Wood Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel, where masonic services will be held Tuesday evening. Memorial services 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family requests donations be made to a favorite charity.
