HEALY, CLARENCE P.

GALVESTON — Clarence Peter Healy, 69, died Wednesday [February 10, 1988] at John Scaly Hospital in Galveston.

A funeral mass will be held 6:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Father John Kellick and Father Emil Furlong officiating. A procession will follow Monday at 10 a.m. from the church to the cemetery.

Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum in Galveston.

Visitation will be 4 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.

A rosary will be recited at 5 p.m. Sunday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Deacon William J. Bobb officiating.

Born April 14, 918, in New Orleans, La., Mr. Healy was retired from Monsanto Chemical Co. He was a veteran of World War II, in the U.S. Marine Corps 2nd Raider Battalion, serving in the Pacific.

He was a founding member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of St. Peter the Apostle Men’s Club. He also was a member of St. Patrick’s Men’s Club, Sacred Heart Men’s Club, Knights of Columbus Msgr, Kerwin Council No. 787, life member of the PTA, and a member of the Marine Corps Raider Association.

He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Joseph Healy.

Survivors include his wife. Lore Ray Healy of Galveston; five sons, Patrick Sean Healy of Galveston, Michael Hale Healy of Galveston, Timothy Mark Healy of Texas City, James Casey Healy of Galveston and Keven Kent Healy of Galveston; two daughters, Mary Crystal Endres of Texas City and Dona Dennise Byrd of Houston; 10 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews in New Orleans.

Pallbearers will be sons and son-in-law Eugene C. Endres.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church Building Fund, or books may be donated to the donor’s public school library.
