HALL, CRESTON

Creston Hall, 83, of Lafayette, formerly of Hammond, died at 12:43 p.m. Sunday, December 9, 2007 in the Indiana Veterans Home, West Lafayette. He had been a resident there since March of this year. He was born December 18, 1923 in Montgomery, AL to the late John F. and Betty (Anderson) Hall. His marriage was to E. Louise Plant in May of 1968; she survives. Mr. Hall was a Marine Raider during WWII. He was honorably discharged. He co-owned and operated South Lake Glass in Merrillville for many years and was in the auto glass and trim field his entire working career. Creston enjoyed watching sports, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide and Indianapolis Colts and loved to fish. He was a member of the VFW in West Lafayette. Surviving with his wife are four children: Norma Faye Gatlin of Fort Worth, TX, Danny Hall of Rutledge, AL, Timothy Hall of Fort Worth and Terry Hall of Clayborne, TX; three step-children: Glenn D. Roberts (Linda) of Jasper, IN, Carolyn J. Dobbins of Wolcott and Dennis G. Roberts (Sharon) of Indianapolis; seven grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2007 in Foster-Clapper Funeral Home, Wolcott. Interment to follow in Remington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Indiana Veterans Home.
