HALL, BOLLING, JR.
Bolling Hall, Jr., our beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 26, 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Bo was born in Montgomery, Alabama on August 2, 1924. He was the son of Bolling Hall and Annie Paul Thompson.
Bo grew up in Montgomery and attended school at Auburn University. He joined the U. S. Marine Corps (Fourth Division Raider Battalion) and participated in the consolidation of southern Solomons and saw action in New Georgia, Guam and Mariana Islands. He was a decorated veteran of World War II. After being discharged, he relocated to Denver, Colorado. There he married Charmaine Trostel, on December 3, 1948. He started working for the Western Electric Co. and was later transferred to Salt Lake City, where he retired as plant manager with 37 years of service in 1985. His retirement provided time for a full range of leisurely pursuits.
Bo is survived by two sons: Bolling, his wife, Susan and granddaughter, Tara Justus and her husband, Gailon; by Allan, his wife, Lisa and granddaughter, Annie and a very special friend, Darlene McIntosh.
Bo had a sharp wit and a keen sense of humor and was not beyond an occasional practical joke. He loved his family and friends. He was a kind, generous and caring person, a true “southern gentleman” who will be greatly missed.
