GLASS, GEORGE K.

George K. Glass, 89, of Canal Fulton, died Sunday, August 19, 2007. George was born June 17, 1918, in Byesville, OH to the late John and Agnes Glass. He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, serving in the South Pacific; and had been employed by Western Electric for 35 years, and where he had been a member of the Western Electric Pioneers. He was also a member of VFW #9795 in Canal Fulton. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy, Mildred and Lena; brothers, Richard and Eugene. He is survived by his wife, Wanda D. Glass, whom he marred January 26, 1950; children, Pamela D. Glass of Canal Fulton, Greg C. (Erica) Glass; grandchildren, Jacob K. and Jordan C. Glass, all of Reynoldsburg, OH; brother, William Glass; sister, Elizabeth Mosser both of Titusville, FL; sisters-in-law, Virginia Glass of Canton, Beverly Faiello of Cambridge; numerous nieces and nephews. George lived by the Marine Corps Code. At a later date a graveside service will be held at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, Ohio. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United States Marine Corps Museum in Washington, D.C. “Semper Fi.”
