FLEEGER, HARRY C., JR.
Harry “Clair” Fleeger Jr., 80, of Kissimmee, FL, died Monday, January 5, 2004, while a resident of the Good Samaritan Nursing Facility. His wife of 57 years, Jeanne Fleeger, survives.
Born in Butler on April 6, 1923, he was the son of the late Harry C. and Ruth Johnson-Miller. A former resident of Sweet Valley and Honesdale, he retired from a supervision position with the PA Fish Commission in 1983 after 30 years of service. He was a Marine Raider during WWII. He was a volunteer and member for the Shriners’ Children Hospital, and the Masons, Moose, Lions, and Elks, the NCT and the Bahia RV Club. He enjoyed camping and traveling while retired.
Also surviving are two daughters, Cheryl and husband Ronald Matthews, Honesdale, and Lynn Fleeger, Honesdale; two sons, Bradley C. and wife Connie, Sweet Valley, and Bruce and wife Susan, Florence, NJ; five grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Nicole, Bradley and Jeremy; four great-grandchildren; and two nieces in Texas.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, William and James.
Cremation, Osceola Memory Gardens.
Cremains will be distributed, as per his final request, by his family.
