FEARN, JOHN A.

John A. Fearn Sr., well known Casa Grande farmer and realtor, was pronounced dead on arrival Saturday [April 21, 1979] at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Tucson. Death was attributed to a heart attack. He was 54 years old.

A resident of Casa Grande for 47 years, Mr. Fearn was born Jan. 27, 1925 in Beaver, Okla. He had attended both grade school and high school in Casa Grande. He had farmed in the Valley for many years and was co-owner of Foxtail Realty. He and his wife, Ruby Mansell, who survives him, were married Nov. 30, 1947 in Casa Grande.

Mr. Fearn was a veteran of World War II. A past president of the Casa Grande Board of Realtors, he also was a member of the Pinal County Farm Bureau and the Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge No. 1957. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, John Jr., Casa Grande; his daughters, Mary Sue Beers, Casa Grande, Georgia Barsz, Huntington Beach, Calif.; his sister, Mrs. Marguerite Gibson, Casa Grande, and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. Buster Reeves, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
