ELESTON, THEODORE M., JR.

Theodore M. Eleston Jr. 88, passed away peacefully Nov. 12, 2008, in Largo. Dad was a decorated veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Marine Corps. Dad was a member of the historic Edson’s Raiders, First Marine Battalion, who fought numerous heroic battles throughout the South Pacific including legendary Guadalcanal. After the war Dad became an account executive in the golden age of television. A horseman, sailor, writer and artist, Dad’s greatest love was the Lord Jesus Christ. Dad worked and played hard, well into his eighties. Dad is survived by daughter Deb and her husband Mike; son Ted; son David and his wife Karen; sisters Gerry and Nancy; niece Terry; grandchildren Mike and Carey; great-grandchildren Caitlin and Jake, and many longtime friends. Dad will be laid to rest at the Bay Pines Veteran’s Memorial Park in St. Petersburg. We will see you in Heaven Dad. Faith and Hope and Love Forever.
