Adam Roland Dinges, 79, of Tallahassee died Wednesday [June 17, 1998].

A native of Sheridan, Ark., he had lived in Tallahassee since 1969. A veteran of the Marine Corps, he was in the Carlson’s Raiders during World War II and received a Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife, Lorine S.Dinges of Tallahassee; two sons, Jack Dinges of Tallahassee and Jimmy Dinges of Little Rock, Ark.; a stepson, Frank Noltee of Tallahassee; two daughters, Vickie Carter of Garland, Texas, and Pat Jorden of Dallas; a sister, Peggy Riorden of Corpus Christi, Texas; and 12 grandchildren.
