DEROUSELL, GEORGE A.
George Andrew Derousell passed away at his home on November 30, 2006 in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on July 3, 1923 in Ville Platte, Louisiana to Jacques Telou Derousell and Elizabeth “Christ” Derousell.
George proudly served in the United States Marines serving during World War II, Korea and also with the United States Navy SEABEES in Vietnam. After retiring from military service, he worked for the city of Beaumont for twenty-one years and was a member of VFW Post #1806. He enjoyed playing pool with friends, loved people and never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his family.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Doris; daughter, Carol; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 4, 2006 at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin followed by entombment at Magnolia Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Henry, Gilmer Duhon, Randall Hebert, Patrick and Dwain Derousell, Casey and Brandon LeFluer and Bobby Ray, II.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday evening from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. with a Christian Vigil at 5:00 P.M. at the mortuary.
