DAWSON, CHARLES E.

Mr. Charles Edward Dawson, 79, of Century, Florida, died November 11, 1999 at the Houston, Texas Veterans Hospital.

Mr. Dawson was the son of William Ziglar and Minnie Belle Wiggins Dawson. He was a charter member of the 2nd Raider Battalion USMC, 32nd degree Mason and Shriner, a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of the Painter Local Union.

Survivors include his daughters, Jane Dawson (Chris) Brookover and Ginger Dawson (Bob) Thornton; sons, C. W. “Bill” (Rosie) Dawson and Jim E. Dawson; grandchildren, Charlotte B. (Stanley) Santana, Doug Brookover, Kelley D. (John) Darbonne, Tracey D. (Patrick) Mountain, and Lauren R. Rocha; great-grandchildren, Lindsey, Kayla, Tanner and Tate; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as Ray R. Gibbs, a special friend of the family.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 14, 1999 at the Flomaton Funeral Home with Rev. J. A. Wilson, officiating.

Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Bluff Springs, FL.

Pallbearers will be members of the Century Masonic Lodge and there will be military honors at graveside.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, 1999 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Flomaton Funeral Home.
