DAVIS, HAROLD

Harold Davis, 91, a World War II veteran and retired Asst. Chief with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s office passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at his home in Montgomery. Mr. Davis is survived by his son, Ronnie Davis; daughter, Glenda (Joe) Parrott; special daughter, Kay (Wendell) Kirkley; grandchildren, Ronnie (Mandi) Davis, Samantha (Chris) Hill, Sherri Clower-Kirkley and Traci Christian; great-grandchildren, Tyler Davis, Elijan Davis, Georgia Kirkley and Matt Christian.

Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Davis; parents, Samantha and Monroe Davis; siblings, Elmer Davis, Emory Davis and Reba Sikes; grandson, James W. Kirkley.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Leak-Memory Chapel with Rev. Doug Smith officiating. Visitation will be at 9:30-11 A.M. on Tuesday prior to the funeral service. Pallbearers will be members of the family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Shemeka Jackson, Sheketa Wright and VA Home Health for their dedication, love and care.
