    The office of war information today listed in its official casualty list the names of 17 Arizonians as dead, wounded, or missing, including four Tusconians. Listed as dead [August 7, 1944] by the Navy is Corp. John H. Meredith, son of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Meredith, Safford.
