    Washington—(AP)—A New Jersey Marine’s death [July 1, 1943] was announced Monday by the Navy in a list of 27 casualties which included 18 dead, four wounded and five missing. The New Jersey Marine was Robert J. Huff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Huff of Millburn.

    After taking part in several overseas commando raids, Marine Sergeant Gilbert Hunter, 24, lost his life [January 19, 1943] while swimming with full equipment, including his rifle, near Three Arch Bay. When his body was rescued the coroner stated that he had been dead about an hour, the victim of a heart attack.
