CAIL, HAROLD J.

Harold J. Cail, 64, of 4 Palm Drive, Windsor Locks, husband of the late Mary (Reid) Cail, died Sunday [January 19, 1986]. He was born in Brownville Junction, Maine, and had lived in Windsor Locks for 32 years. A graduate of the Porter School of Design, he was a draftsman at the Wesco Industries, South Windsor, for five years before his retirement two years ago and was formerly employed at Stanadyne, Windsor, and at Pratt & Whitney. He was a Marine veteran of World War II and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts. Mr. Cail was a member of Gensi-Viola, Post No. 36, American Legion, Smalley Bros. Post No. 6123, VFW, the AMVETS Post No. 18, the Disabled American Veterans Chapter No. 47, the Edson’s Raiders Association and Ionic Lodge No. 110 AF&AM of Stafford Springs. He was also a life member of the U.S. Marine Raider Association and the Marine Corps Association. Mr. Cail is survived by a son, Thomas F. Cail of Windsor Locks; two daughters, Mrs. William (Gail) Millerick of Plainville and Mrs. Brian (Donna) Holmes of Windsor; a brother, Donald Cail of Brownville Junction, Maine; and five grandchildren. A military funeral will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery. His family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-9 p.m., at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Easter Seal Society, 80 Coventry St., Hartford 06112.
