BUHL, HERBERT N.

Herbert N. “Bucky” Buhl, 94, of Collinsville, Ill., born on Sept. 11, 1922 in Caseyville, Ill., passed away Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 at Eden Village Care Center, Glen Carbon, Ill.

Bucky was the owner and operator of Stop Light Restaurant, East St. Louis, Ill., Trailways Restaurant, Fairview Heights, Ill. and Round Table Restaurant, Collinsville, Ill. He was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps veteran; a Purple Heart recipient.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Buhl, nee Denando; a daughter, Barbara Buhl; his parents, Albert and Barbara, nee Ross, Buhl; brothers and sisters, Albert Buhl, Robert Buhl, Wilbert Buhl, Alice Miller, Irene Buhl and Viola Southard.

Surviving are his nieces and nephews, Marilyn Catalpa of Collinsville, Ill., Linda (Freddie) Kaspar of Collinsville, Ill., Susie Lingle of Collinsville, Ill., Gene (Joan) Catalpa of Collinsville, Ill., Dennis (Melody) Buhl, Maurine Martin of Reno, Nev. and Diane Sharos of Belleville, Ill.

Memorials may be made to Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Collinsville, Ill. or to the American Cancer Society.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill.

Funeral: Memorial service will be held at 12 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at Herbert A. Kassly Funeral Home, Collinsville, Ill., with Father John Beveridge officiating. Inurnment with full military honors will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
