BUGALA, ANTON A.
Pfc. Anthony Bugala, 21, of the Marines, who was killed in the South Pacific on Sept 14 [1942], was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bugala of Duncan Ave., East Patchogue. Born in Manhattan, he had lived in the Patchogue section for 13 years and had been graduated from the Bellport High School. He enlisted a year ago.
A requiem mass was celebrated for him at St. Joseph’s Church, Hagerman, L. I., recently.
Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers and three sisters. A brother Frank is in the Army, Stephen, a former state trooper, is in the Coast Guard. Albert is studying for the priesthood, and the fourth brother, John, is at home. There are two unmarried sisters, Mary and Helen, and Sister Theresa, a nun in the order of the Sacred Heart.
