BRADLEY, MARION E.

Eldorado had an impressive ceremony Wednesday when the first of the Eldorado war dead was returned to the city. Hundreds were present at the depot when the train bearing the body of Pvt. Marion E. Bradley [August 7, 1942], a Marine, arrived in the city. The band played, there were prayers and a eulogy by the mayor, and there was a procession to the Martin Funeral Home, where the body lay in state. Yesterday afternoon the funeral service was held at the Eldorado Methodist Church.

The entire ceremony at the station and the church was recorded by Vachel Davis and will be played at a public meeting in the future.
