BOWE, WILLIAM F., JR.

William F. Bowe, 95, of Yorkville, passed away on Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at Hillside Rehab & Care Center in Yorkville. He was born on March 12, 1916 in Chicago, the son of William and Catherine Bowe.

William was united in marriage on Nov. 27, 1948 to the former Bernadette C. McNamara and they spent the next 63 happy years together. Mr. Bowe served his country proudly with the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He was formerly employed in customer service by the American Roller Company in Chicago. Bill enjoyed bowling and was a Chicago White Sox fan.

Bill is survived by his wife; his sons, William (Laura) Bowe of Villa Park and Thomas Bowe of Sandwich; his grandchildren, Courtney and Danielle Bowe, Amanda (Mike) Karkut and William Bowe; his one great grandson, Devin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his one brother, James Bowe.

Visitation was conducted Sunday, Dec. 4 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, Yorkville. A funeral Mass was said on Monday, Dec. 5 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Yorkville. Interment followed in Resurrection Cemetery in Geneva.
