War and Navy Department casualty lists released yesterday included one man from the Philadelphia area killed in action, 19 wounded and one missing.

The number of dead was increased to two with a Navy Department communication received by Mrs. Bella Slosberg, of 426 S. 57th St., stating that her son, Pharmacist’s Mate Second Class Charles Richard Boone, 21, had died June [5, 1945] of wounds suffered on Okinawa.

A graduate of Southeast Catholic High School, he enlisted in October, 1942, and also saw action on Guam and Saipan.

Requiem Mass will be sung at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Richard’s Church, 19th and Pollocks Sts.
