A Mass of Christian Burial for Alfred J. Bones, 72, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Leo’s Catholic Church, 2748 Military Road, with prayers at 9 in Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave.
Bones, of Donna Drive, died Monday [October 3, 1994] in Mount St. Mary’s Hospital, Lewiston.
He was a native of Sheppton, Pa., and lived there until 1942.
He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater with the 3rd Raider Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment. He then served in the 107th Fighter Group, New York Air National Guard, from 1948 until he retired in 1982.
Survivors include his wife, the former Marie Recla; four sons, Lawrence of Wolcott, Ralph of Jessup, Md., Carl of Boothwyn, Pa., and Daniel of Bel Air, Md.; a brother, Salvatore Jr. of Hughesville, Pa.; a sister, Lucille Wagler of Glen Cove, L.I.; and two grandchildren.
