BARRITT, EARL E.
Mr. and Mrs. George A. Barritt, 8711 North Thirty-First Street, have been notified by the Navy Department that their son, Pfc. Earl E. Barritt, a Marine, was killed in action [November 24, 1943] in the South Pacific.
He had been overseas a year and a half. January 25 would have marked the end of two years’ service with the Marine Corps, in which he enlisted while he was employed by the Cudahy Packing Company.
Barritt was graduated from Benson West School and attended Technical High School. He was 22.
Besides his parents he is survived by brothers, Jack, Omaha; S. Sgt. George H., United States Army Air Corps; sisters, Mrs. Clifford Vanderpool, Mrs. Robert Bird, both of Omaha.
