ALLEN, WOODROW W.
Services for Woodrow Wilson Allen, 66, of Longview will be 2 p.m. Friday at Mobberly Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Laney Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Morris Cemetery near Pritchett under the direction of Welch Funeral Home.
Mr. Allen died Wednesday morning [January 23, 1980] in a Shreveport hospital. He was a retired butcher, a U.S. Marines veteran of World War II, and a member of Mobberly Avenue Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vaudis Orr Allen of Longview; three brothers, Russell Allen of Hughes Springs, Morris Allen of Longview and Jimmy Allen of Shelbyville; and four sisters, Mrs. Margaret La Brade of Mount Pleasant, and Mrs. Jane Southerland, Mrs. Lucy Cordell, and Mrs. Dorothy Cobb, all of Longview.
The family will receive friends at Welch Funeral Home from 7-9 Thursday night.
