BAYNE, WILLIAM H.

Funeral services for William H. “Pat” Bayne, 64, of 1100 S. 4th St., Monroe, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Mulhearn’s Funeral Home of Monroe with Dr. Clifton Tennison officiating. Burial will be in Brownlee Cemetery in West Monroe.

Mr. Bayne died Thursday morning [February 18, 1971] at St. Francis Hospital after an apparent heart attack.

A native of Colfax, he had lived in Monroe for many years. He was a World War II veteran and served in the Pacific Theater of operations and was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Monroe.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ethel Brownlee Bayne of Monroe; one brother, Leon Bayne; a sister, Mrs. Hilda Smith, both of West Monroe.

Pallbearers will be James B. Brownlee, Jerry Coghlan, John Walsworth, James Bagswell, Ronnie Corbell, and Sam Wilbanks.
