TRAPP, ARTHUR P. E.

BUCHANAN – Arthur P. Edward Trapp, 68, of 106 S. Detroit St., Buchanan, died Tuesday [April 23, 1985] at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, Ind., following a short illness.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Swem Funeral Home, Buchanan, where friends may call from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan, with military rites conducted by the American Legion, Post 51, Buchanan, of which he was a member. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Mr. Trapp was born April 17, 1917, in Chicago, Ill. He was a resident of this area all his life. In 1982 he retired from Premier Tool and Die, Berrien Springs. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Marine Corps Raiders, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include: his wife, the former Katherine Burridge; a daughter, Mrs. Karen Brickner of South Bend, Ind.; a son, Bruce Trapp of Buchanan; four sisters – Mrs. Martha Arnold of Oneida, N.Y., Mrs. Edith Liska of Tucson, Ariz., Shirley McClellan of Satellite Beach, Fla. And Mrs. Edwina Vastine of Buchanan; four brothers – Frank, Edwin and Marne, all of Buchanan, and Charles of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and one grandchild.
