GOMES, LEONARD F.

No services are planned for Leonard F. Gomes, who died Tuesday [January 7, 2003] at Watsonville Community Hospital. He was 82.

A native of Spreckels, he had lived in Watsonville since 1984. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

He worked 30 years with Pacific Bell, retiring as plant foreman. He was a member of Sons in Retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice Gomes of Watsonville; daughters, Gayle Taylor and Conne Gomes, both of Watsonville; sister, Jean McKenzie of Cypress; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

At Mr. Gomes’ request, there will be no services. Cremation has been arranged by Mehl’s Colonial Chapel.
