ANDERSON, VICTOR M.
KARNACK – Victor Merlyn Anderson, 57, of Hayner Street, died Sunday [January 28, 1979] at his home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Colonial Chapel, officiated by the Rev. Chris Walker of First Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Andrews Cemetery in Karnack, under the direction of the Sullivan Family of Funeral Directors.
Born on June 25, 1922, in Chickasha, Okla., Mr. Anderson had lived here since 1928. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe L. Anderson of Emory. He attended Karnack schools. A professional trucker, he had been employed by C and H Transportation since 1966. He previously was in private trucking business from 1948 to 1966. He married the former Rebecca Emmarline Shaw on Aug. 16, 1963, in Livingston, Ala. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and belonged to the VFW and the American Legion. He was a member of Karnack Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rebecca S. Anderson of Karnack; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Fielder of Karnack; a brother, Billy Paul Anderson of Karnack; two sisters, Mrs. Stella Lowe of Waterloo, Iowa and Mrs. Reba Bunner of Karnack; and nieces and nephews, Mrs. Frank (Jean) Varline of Lawton, Ok., Mrs. Warren (Mae) Schmidt of Rolla, Mo., Billy Ray Anderson of Houston, Mrs. David (Ruby) Kirkes of Lawton, Okla., Victor P. Anderson and Arthur Anderson, both of Marshall, Randall Anderson of Portland, Ore., Mrs. W. F. (Dorothy) Bauer of Los Fresnos, and Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Phelps of Waterloo, Iowa.
Pallbearers will be Jackie Hayner, Ernest Bradshaw, Jeffery Shaw, Lonnie Stalcup, Allen Roberts and Johnny Deere. Alternates are Jerry Moore, Thurman Bradshaw and Walter Shaw.
