KISER, VERNON A.

SAN ANGELO – Memorial services for Vernon Allen Kiser, 67, of Odessa were at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. Earl Dunn officiating.

Mr. Kiser died Oct. 27 [1990] at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Big Spring. He was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Sherwood. He married Gladys Boatman May 18, 1982, in San Angelo.

Mr. Kiser was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a retired roofing contractor.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Kiser of Odessa; two daughters, Diane Weber of San Angelo and Carolyn Brooks of Austin; three stepdaughters, Jo Ann Fuller of Odessa, Gay Tarvella of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Mary Smith of Glenlyon, Pa.; two stepsons, Gene Smith and Felton Smith, both of Odessa; three brothers, Max Kiser, Billy Joe Kiser and Jack Kiser, all of San Angelo; three sisters, Naomi Womble of Spokane, Wash., Ruth Barrier of Clovis, Calif., and Beth Kiser of San Angelo; two grandchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren.

Johnson’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
