STEPHENSON, RAYMOND E.
Raymond E. Stephenson, a salesman for National Biscuit Co. of Memphis, died at his home in Memphis Thursday [August 21, 1975]. He was 50.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the main chapel of George A. Smith and Sons with the Rev. Clarence Hare and Dr. Jack Henton officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.
Mr. Stephenson was born in Jackson, and after his graduation from Jackson High School he joined the Marine Corps. He was in the Marine Raiders during World War II and was with the landing on Bougainville.
During high school he played football with the Golden Bears.
He was a member of the Memphis Masonic Lodge and of the Bartlett Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Franklin Stephenson and Raymond Charles Stephenson, both of Memphis; and two brothers, Roy I. Stephenson and John T. Stephenson, both of Jackson.
