HANNON, MORTIMER J.

Bud Hannon, 75, of Palm Springs, died Dec. 25, 1997, at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage.

He was born July 2, 1922, to Helen Beetham and Martin Hannon in Newark, N.J.

He married Elsa Peterson on Jan. 14, 1945, in Irvington, N.J.

Mr. Hannon was the owner of Bud Hannon-Sunrise Realty; a former aerospace supervisor for Rocketdyne in Canoga Park; and a former peace officer in Culver City.

He served in the Marine Corps 2nd and 3rd Raider Battalions for four years.

Survivors include his wife, Elsa Hannon of Palm Springs; two sons, Guy Hannon of Wellington, Nev., and Gary Hannon of Eugene, Ore.; a daughter, Gay Hannon-Shaughness of Elmwood Park, Ill.; a sister, Audrey Boylan of Convent Station, N.J.; and two grandchildren.

Private services are under the direction of Wiefels and Son Funeral Directors in Palm Springs.
