BARTHOLOMEW, SPENCER A.

Spencer “Bart” Bartholomew, formerly of Binghampton, died Thursday, January 9, 1992 in San Jose, Calif. He is survived by his former wife, Elizabeth Bartholomew, San Jose, Calif.; two sons, Scott and Rex Bartholomew, Binghampton; a daughter, Susan Bartholomew, San Jose, Calif.; also two grandchildren. He was a retired employee of Binghampton State Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served in the Pacific as a member of the 2nd Raider Battalion and the 4th Marine Regiment. He earned four battle stars, the Purple Heart and a Letter of Commendation for gallantry in action on Okinawa.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of the Flowers, San Jose, California. Services will be conducted by Masonic Lodge #10 of which he was a member for over 30 years.
