HUBER, FRANK

Pvt. Frank Huber, 19, USMC, Steel City, Bethlehem R. 4, who was killed Aug. 7, 1942, at Tulagi, Solomon Islands, will be reburied Saturday afternoon in Union Cemetery, Hellertown, with rites in charge of Bethlehem Detachment, Marine Corps League.

Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Charles DeBodo at 8 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday in the Templeton Funeral Home, 326 Main St., Hellertown, and at 2:30 p.m. in the First Hungarian Reformed Church, Bethlehem.

Pvt. Huber was born Dec. 16, 1922, in Lower Saucon, a son of Joseph and Mary Kovacs Huber. He attended the township schools and was a member of the First Hungarian Refored Church, Bethlehem.

He entered the Marine Corps April 13, 1942, and trained at Parris Island, S.C., and San Diego, Calif. He was a member of the First Marine Raider Battalion, First Marine Division.

Surviving are the parents; a sister, Mrs. Stephen Dolna, Hamilton, Ohio, and four brothers, Peter, Steel City; Joseph Jr., Hellertown; Stephen and George, at home.

A brother, John, a veteran of six-and-one-half years of service in World War II, died Dec. 11, 1945, as the result of a fall in Bethlehem Technical High School, two days after enrolling as a student there.
