PAINE, EVERETT G.

Everett G. Paine, 48, of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, formerly of East Hartford, died Sunday [August 7, 1966] at the Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine. He was born in East Hartford, the son of Mrs. Helen Lord Paine of East Hartford and the late Wilbur B. Paine. He was a graduate of Lawrence Academy, Groton, Mass., and attended the University of Connecticut where he was captain of the football team. He had been manager of the Portland office of the Aetna Insurance Co. since January, 1965. He had been superintendent of agencies of the Peerless Insurance Co. in Keene, N.H., from 1955 to 1965. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. Besides his mother, he leaves his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Linde Paine; two sons, Stephen L. Paine and Jeffrey E. Paine, and a daughter, Miss Linda G. Paine, all of Cape Elizabeth, and a brother, Gaylord L. Paine of South Windsor. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. Burial will be in the Gilead Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
