MORRISON, ANGUS

Harbor Beach, Feb. 9—Angus W. Morrison, 24, World War II veteran, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Morrison, died Sunday afternoon [February 8, 1948] in Harbor Beach Hospital after a brief illness.

The remains are in the Morrison home, west of Harbor Beach, and will be removed at noon Wednesday to First Presbyterian Church for funeral services at 2 p.m.

Rev. Louis H. Knight will officiate. Military burial honors will be conducted in Rock Falls Cemetery.

Mr. Morrison is survived by his parents; three sisters, Miss Marie Morrison, United States government employee on Guam, Miss Viona Morrison, Detroit, and Miss Joan Morrison, who lives with her parents, and a brother, Gordon Morrison, who also lives with his parents.

He was born April 29, 1923, in Harbor Beach. He enlisted Sept. 29 1942 in the United States Marine Corps in California. He served in the Southwest Pacific on Guadalcanal and New Georgia, where he was wounded. He was discharged Feb. 29, 1944.
