HAXER, JOHN C.

Marine City, Aug. 11—John C. Haxer, 22, who made his home for many years with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kettler, here, and who was graduated in 1939 from Holy Cross High School, was killed in action July 11 [1943], his aunt, Mrs. Herman Tillack, Detroit, has been notified by the Navy Department.

John was employed in Detroit before his induction a year ago.
