UPCHURCH, GLEN D.
CALDWELL – Glen Dale Upchurch, 47, of Parma, died Sunday [March 5, 1972] at his home. He was born Oct. 26, 1922 at Hominy, Okla.
He moved to Parma with his parents when he was nine years old. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II, in the South Pacific.
He was married June 4, 1948 to Bernice Fletcher at Parma. He had worked for the Parma Water Lifter Co. for the past 20 years.
Mr. Upchurch was a member of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Community Church and the Parma Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Billie Fletcher of Parma; two daughters, Glenda Upchurch and Mrs. Sandy Siegenhagen, both of Parma; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Walt Taylor of Parma; a sister, Mrs. Lois Gayley of Ogden, Utah; a brother, Jim Upchurch of Richland, Wash.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Wilder Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The cortege will leave the Parma Dakan Funeral Chapel at 10:15 a.m.
