MONESTERSKY, MICHAEL A.

Michael A. (Turk) Monestersky, age 58 years of Fairbanks R. D. 1, Filbert Heights, Pa. died Saturday, April 3, 1976 in the Veterans Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born December 2, 1917 at Gates, Pa., a son of the late Anthony and Anne Monestersky, and stepfather, Frank Nikonchik. He was a member of the Holy Trinity R. O. Church, New Salem, a member of VFW Post 47, Uniontown, Fairbanks Rod and Gun Club, and a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Inez Lasagna Monestersky; the following children, Michael V. and Vincent E. Monestersky, both at home; Anthony M. Monestersky of Baden, Pa.; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mydia Price of Fairbanks, Pa., Mrs. Frank (Tessie) Grant of Fairbanks, Pa.; a brother, John Nikonchik of Titusville, Pa. Friends will be received in the Vito P. DeCarlo Funeral Home, New Salem, 7 to 9 this evening, Tuesday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until Wednesday at 1 p.m. at which time Panachida service will be held, followed by additional services in the Holy Trinity R. O. Church with Very Rev. Fr. John J. Oleynik as celebrant. Interment in the Church Cemetery. Parastas service will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
