JOHNSTON, LEON H.

Leon H. Johnston, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of MI; August 20, 1999; age 78; husband of Adeline for 15 years; father of Carol (Jerry) Jones of MI and Lynn Johnston of IN; stepfather of Barton Cross of CO and Lori Cross of AZ; grandpa of Wendy (Steve) Shelley, Kelly (Joel) Tasma, Peter Cross, Keby Cross, Matt, Leita, Ellen and Ryan Sharp; great-grandpa of Jordin and Leann; like a father to Tom Lufkin of MI. Leon retired from GM Truck and Coach and served as a U.S. Marine during WWII. He serviced many local fire departments filling air tanks. He was a scuba diving instructor for many years. Funeral service Sunday, 2:30 p.m. at the Clarkston Community Church, Clarkston, MI, where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Private interment Lakeview Cemetery, MI. Arrangements entrusted to the Lewis E. Wint & Son Trust 100 Funeral Home, Clarkston, MI. Memorials may be made to the Cranbrook Hospice.
