MCINTOSH, ROBERT E.

Pvt. (f.c.) Robert McIntosh, Marine, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Boyd, 2606 Lincoln Ave., was killed [July 26, 1944] in the South Pacific area, his aunt was notified by the War Department. Private McIntosh, son of George F. McIntosh of Ottumwa, Ia., lived here with his aunt and uncle.

A graduate of Dowling High School in 1940, Private McIntosh attended Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis., for a year and a half before entering service in March, 1943. He was trained at Parris Island, S.C., and went overseas in September, 1943.

Memorial services will be at 7:30 a.m. Friday, at St. John’s Catholic Church.
