DEERING, FRANK E., JR.

NEW ALBANY – Frank E. Deering Jr., 70, of 2720 Hillview Drive, died there Monday [August 19, 1991].

He was a retired employee of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Louisville, a Navy veteran of World War II and a former Boy Scout leader. He was a member of Boy Scout Order of the Arrow, Hobart Beach Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1693 and Charlestown Road Baptist Church.

Survivors: his wife, the former Mary Jane Eve; a son, Frank E. Deering III; a daughter, Carolyn L. Murrell; and five grandchildren.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Kraft Funeral Home. Burial: Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation: 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. Thursday.
