GARNER, BRUCE L.

Bruce Lamont Garner, 86, went to heaven on Tuesday, June 12, 2012, in Tyler.

He was born to the late John Columbus Garner and Lela May Malone Garner. He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II, was an entrepreneur and a salesman.

He was loved and admired by those who knew him. He had lived in Tyler for 2 1/2 years, moving from Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Berniece; son, Ron; brothers, J.C., Harold, Vernon “Doc” and Jerry Garner.

Survivors include son, Bruce L Garner Jr. and wife Elisha, of Kentucky; daughter, Darenda A. Walker and husband Gary, of Texas; sister, Lorene Strand, of Oregon; brother, Bobby Garner and wife Sandra, of Kentucky; sister-in-law, Zyl Mahaffey, of New Mexico; grandchildren, Cameron Garner and wife Belyn, of Colorado, Becky Middleton, of Oregon, Jacob Garner, of Missouri, Benjamin Garner, of Oklahoma, Hande Garner, of New Mexico, Gamze Andrews, of Texas, Heather Krossman, of Texas; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Chase Garner, Kaitlyn and Jakeb Middleton, Finn, Leif and Jude Garner, Carter Andrews.
