Paul William McWaters, 86, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, in Wichita Falls.
The graveside service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2008, at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
A son of the late William and Clara (Scott) McWaters, he was born on Aug. 6, 1922, in Atlanta, Ga. On July 18, 1954, he married June Proudfoot. She preceded him in death on April 30, 1998. He served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II, and later retired from the United States Air Force in 1965. He taught at City View Jr. High School for 15 years. He was a member of Christ United Presbyterian Church, and loved to fish. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Riley.
Survivors include his daughter, Susan McWaters of Euless; two brothers, Grady McWaters, and Trellis McWaters, both of Thomaston, Georgia; a sister, Ruth Williams of Jonesboro, Ga.; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
