Dierker (nee Grotegeers); dear father and father-in-law of Robert Dierker and Margaret (Robert) Fister; dear grandfather of Christopher and Mark Dierker, Steve, Bill, and Rob Fister; dear brother of Louis Dierker, Loretta Eckdahl, and the late Ted Dierker, Carrie Vonder Haar, Frances Holtkamp, Rose Goeke, Catherine Wolk, and Rita Dierker; our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, great-great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Mr. Dierker was a charter member of the Legion of 1,000 Men, past Eucharistic Minister, president of the former Holy Name Society of Sts. John & James Church, member Fifty Plus Club of Sts. John & James, retired employee of American Airlines, member of A. A. Vanguards, Carondelet Historical Society, Ferguson Senior Citizens Center, United States Marine Corps veteran of WWII, Carlson’s Raiders, Fourth Marine Regiment, 6th Marine Division. Robert bravely served his country on Guam and Okinawa and was a member of the U.S. Marine Raider Assn. and 6th Marine Div. Assn. Semper fidelis.
Funeral from White-Mullen Mortuary, 118 N. Florissant Rd., Ferguson, Mon., Dec. 16, 9 a.m. with mass celebrated at Sts. John & James Church, 9:30 a.m. Interment National Cemetery. Family prefers memorials to the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Sts. John & James Church. Friends may call Sun. after 3 p.m.
