CALLIHAN, LEWIS J.

Lewis (Jim) Callihan, beloved husband of 29 years of marriage to Connie Callihan, passed away on October 9, 2014. Jim was born on December 27, 1924 in McCaysville, Georgia to Grady Callihan and Carrie (Underwood) Callihan. He served 21 years in the United States Marine Corps and was honored with many decorations including the Purple Heart. Jim worked for the U.S. Government in Battle Creek, Michigan and retired in 1980. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and being with friends. Jim is survived by his wife, 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 3 sisters. He was a member of the VFW, Amvets, Highlands Shrine Club and the Masonic Lodge in McCaysville, Ga. Donations can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice 1110 P.O. Box 229, Sebring, FL, 33871. According to his wishes there will be no services. His remains will be placed in a military cemetery with full honors.
