POULIS, GEORGE F.

George F. Poulis — March 10, 1921 – September 11, 2001. George has passed on from living life to the eternal everlasting with his savior Jesus Christ. George was survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Patricia; his two sons Jeff Cox (his fiancee, Sandra), Anthony Rodriguez (his wife, Lisa); two granddaughters, Liyani and Alexis; and George’s sister, Marylou Zgraggen; along with many other family and friends. George was a San Francisco native and resident for 80 years, very active in his church, Our Lady of Visitacion. A member of the IBEW, Local #6. Was an active member in Cub Scouts of America, Pack 176. George also served proudly in United States Marine Corps during WWII with Special Forces known as the “Marine Raiders.” His honor, loyalty and dedication to God, country and family and friends, “Say it all” – SEMPER FIDELIS.

Family and friends may visit Tuesday after 4:00 p.m. and are invited to attend the Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave. DC. There will be a celebration of the Funeral Mass on Wednesday at the Church of the Visitacion, Sunnydale Ave. / Rutland St., SF at 11:00 a.m. Committal Holy Cross Cemetery. Anyone wishing to make a donation please do so to the American Red Cross or the charity of your choice, or for the families and victims of the attacks on the United States of America.
