MUNDEN, WALLACE C.
Wallace C. Munden, age 75, of Springfield, Oregon, passed away November 21, 1998.
He was born March 9, 1923 in Rock Springs, WY to Ora and Anna Munden. He married Patricia Swann on April 4, 1976 in Chula Vista, CA.
He lived early life in Trinidad, Grand Junction, and Chula Vista, CA and then Springfield, Oregon.
He graduated from high school in Trinidad, Colorado State University and from San Diego State with a master’s degree. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Raider Division from 1941 to 1945. He was a high school teacher and coach from 1953 – 1983.
His hobbies included golf, Native American culture, carving Kachina dolls, fishing, and reading.
He is survived by wife Pat, son Dennis Munden, Delmar, CA; nephew Wallace J. Munden, Springfield, MO; niece Joyce Munden, Springfield, MO; grand-nieces, Elizabeth Munden, Julianna Munden, Springfield, MO; sister and brother-in-law, Sonja and Leonard Rose, Eugene, Oregon; grand-niece Cathy Ruzicka; grand-nephew John Rose; cousins, John Blanche, Trinidad; and Vivien Favero, Trinidad.
Services were held November 24, 1998 at 2 p.m. at Rest-Haven Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Eugene, Oregon.
