LOCKHART, JESSE C.
PEORIA – Dr. Jesse C. Lockhart, 81, of 412 E. Highpoint Road died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 1994, at his residence.
Born July 23, 1912, in Brady, Texas, to A. F. and Alice Cone Lockhart, he married Dorothy Heidrich on April 1, 1950, in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Dr. Michael G. of Auburn, Calif., Frank M. of Chicago and James R. of Wilmette; one daughter, Nancy L. Brown of Chapel Hill, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and one brother, Frank of Manhattan Beach, Calif.
He practiced medicine in Peoria from 1948 until he retired in 1979.
A 1932 graduate of the University of Texas in Austin, Texas, he graduated from the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston, Texas, in 1935. He served his internship and residence at the University of California in San Francisco.
He served as a commander in the Navy during World War II.
He was a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honorary Fraternity, Peoria Medical Society and the Country Club of Peoria.
Private services will be held at a later date. His body was donated to the Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois.
