LIPPOLD, WILLIAM F., JR.
William F. Lippold, 71, of Yuma died Aug. 4, 1994, at his home following a long struggle with leukemia.
Born June 1, 1923, at Attica, Ind., he worked 30 years for International Harvester in various positions, including western regional manager of its truck division and manager of its Montebello, Calif., branch.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, and was a member of the Redding, Calif., Elks Club, Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion’s Shasta post in Redding and the U.S. Marine Raider Association. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Betty Jean; son and daughter-in-law Larry W. and Mary of Los Angeles; daughter-in-law Betsy of Paramount, Calif.; mother Dorothy Whipple of Rochester Hills and Lynn Whipple of Houston. He was preceded in death by son Delbert P.
A memorial service is scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Yuma.
