BRADLEY, JESSE E.

Jesse Earl Bradley Jr., age 85, of Fenton Township, died Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at Genesys Hospice Care Facility. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Pastor Steve Higley officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Marine Corps League. Mr. Bradley had lived in Fenton for 40 years, coming from Flushing, and he retired from General Motors Truck and Bus with 33 years service in plant security. He had an extensive military career serving in the U.S. Army and Marine Corps during WWII and continued on serving in the National Guard, retiring as a captain. He was a proud member of the elite Marine battalion, Edson’s Raiders. He was a member of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243, the D.A.V. and the Marine Corps League and a past member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fenton. Surviving are: his wife, Evelyn of Fenton; son, David M. and wife Sonya Bradley of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Chad D. Bradley, Lindsay R. Bradley, both of Swartz Creek; 2 sisters, Mary Lou and Judy; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
