Funeral services for H. Richard Pope, 61, of 1502 35th Ave., Moline, who died Saturday [February 1, 1986] at Moline Public Hospital, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary. The Rev. James Bennett of Salem Lutheran Church, Moline, will officiate. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, where military graveside services will be conducted by the Moline American Legion Post 246.

Visitation will be 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Illinois Heart Association.

Mr. Pope was born Oct. 30, 1924, in Bushnell, Ill., son of Fred and Opal E. Davis Pope. He married Marian Tillberg Jan. 12, 1947, in Moline.

He had been employed as an operations manager for Altorfer Machinery co., formerly Martin-Rosa, Davenport, since 1946.

He was a Marine veteran of World War II and a former member of Moline Lodge 556 BPOE Elks.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Carol Moran of Moline and Laurel Pope at home; three grandchildren; one brother, Fred L. of Moline, and two stepsisters, Mary Kevasney of Florida and Elizabeth Woodin of Albuquerque, N.M.
